REWOVEN: Photographs Thread Words REWOVEN 2 after 2018
A collaboration with Lialia Kuchma, a weaver, shown at Printworks Gallery from December 6, 2013 to January 4th, 2014. A series of photographs of various subjects were cut up and then woven back together in various ways, drawing a mysterious net over the subject. The objects in the photographs (pears, bread, figures, vegetables, trees, etc. were chosen for there visual interest as well as for being puns between English and French, or Jeu de mots (word play as the French say). Thus we have pain/pain (bread and pain, pere and pear, chair/chair (flesh, chair) and so forth. The resulting image is thus "Rewoven" on several different levels.
